Christmas Scrapped Already

Not really, I haven't scrapped all of my photos just a few. I had to try out my new cartridges off course. These LO's are pretty simple as the paper (Little Yellow Bicycles) is just so gorgeous that you don't want to cover it up. Caitlin seems to be in nearly everyone of them-that's b/c she was the one that remembered to get out the camera and doesn't mind taking "my space photos" of herself. Whenever I take a My space photo it turns out crap. Caitlin must have the knack.
Here they are opening their presents.

Boy was it hot today 39 it hasn't been that hot in ages. Good, hopefully the pool is warming up so that I can get in.
New Years tomorrow night what is everyone doing?
Take lots of photos, keep safe and have a good time.

Size 12's

Hello
I hope that you all had a fun, great, relaxing, joyful christmas. Our christmas was really great but I must confess that I have had enough of cooking for a little whilst.
Just thought I would share a LO that I did today with you and again I will own up to the fact that I have scraplifted (that sounds so much better than copied) this LO from Kelly Gorree's blogspot. When I saw it I immediately thought of Joe and his big feet he is only 14 and wont stop growing for another couple of years. I also had this new stamp that I received early in December and lucky for me one of my new cartridges just happens to have a tree on it so you see I really had to do this LO. The paper is mia collection from crate paper. Now I dont know why this photo turned itself around but I cant turn it back so just tilt your head and have a look. This was my impulse buy on christmas eve. Yes the ladies at the shop will know that I am a bad impulse shopper, I did look at the price of this and walk away but then I found myself back in the isle putting it in my trolley. It doesnt look as good now as family and friends have eaten more than half-I have not had one-YET-next year I will have to buy 60 more choccies to fill it. Ohh well.
Hope that you all had a nice little break and are getting ready for New Years Eve. OOOO guess what I am doing... Nothing...Oh thats not right I am driving Caitlin around from party to party.
Bye for now

HO HO HO

Merry Christmas everyone. I hope that you all have a wonderful festive season, stay safe, enjoy the break and don't drink to much.
I had a play with my free cartridge yesterday and I wasn't expecting much but what a surprise I got. This cartridge is fantastic it makes cards and then it makes a special frame for them and all of these other wonderful characters. I was so rapt (is that the right spelling?) that I had to photo them to show you. Don't know when I will use them but I will fit them into something I'm sure. On another note I would like to thank you all for reading my blog and leaving comments. I find it very exciting when I log on and find that someone has left a comment. So thanks for brightening my days.

Not Enough Hours In The Day

Hello and thanks for taking the time to read my blog.
Well it's a busy time of the year and my first couple of days of holidays have been that busy that I may as well have been at work. (NOT REALLY). I have done a little bit of craft, making christmas tags and beautiful christmas gift card holders, however these have all been needed for presents and have been given away before I got a chance to photo them.
Already I have eaten way to much chocolate and yummy food-now is not the time to diet-
I received a new cartridge for my cricut today - it was a freebie from Provocraft so I am going to play with it later tonight. I also have a new cartridge under the chrissy tree so guess what I will be doing over the christmas break? This is my LO for TM's monthly challenge and it's one I am not that pleased with but you get that. Sorry for the poor quality of the photo. I used yet another new cartridge from my cricut called Indie Art- I thought this was a Welsh dragon which would be appropriate however DH told me that its an English lion. Oh Well.
In other news we celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary on Wednesday and I got spoilt with some lovely flowers which if I get time I will all let you know about that fiasco suffice to say that DH will probably never ever order me flowers from a florist to be delivered AGAIN. We then went out for a fantastic Tepenyaki meal at the Midori Restaurant in Perth. The kids came with us and the chef put on a great show which the kids thought was fantastic.
I am currently working on a christmas tree which I can use as another decoration or put on my christmas table.
Cricket is having a christmas break so I can have my Sunday sleep ins for a couple of weeks.
That's about it for now b/c I am going to play with my new cartridge:)

Christmas Decorations

Hello everyone, happy Sunday. Well I got up early on this very hot Sunday to go watch Joe play cricket, I haven't been for a while. As Caitlin has done most of my ironing I didn't have an excuse. Boy I can sure pick my days it was really hot out there. Poor Joe hung around out in the middle for two overs then was out for a duck. Never mind. This week instead of doing a LO with a photo I thought I would do one as a Christmas decoration to greet everyone when they came in and of course I finally got to put out my Christmas village which was a class that Tracey took at TM'S ever so long ago, and all readers of Susan's blog would have seen her gorgeous snow thingy (I have forgotten what they are called) and I happened to have one sitting in a draw so of course I copied.
I have four days of work left YIPEEEEEEEEEEEEE.
I hope you all have a great week, thanks for dropping by.
PS My T is not working properly on my keyboard so excuse the mistakes.

Some Photos

Well as you can probably guess Joe definately didn't want me to do a page about his birthmark but its a part of him so how could I not. Ever since he was 6 months old we have been going to hospital to have Laser surgery on his face. It's a procedure that requires a general anaesthetic and we go about 4 times a year so it is a big part of our lives and something that I have tried to document for him so that when he is a lot older (middle age) he will be able to look back and remember. Don't you just love this paper it's from We R Memory Keepers and called Nonsense. A lot of cutting out but worth the effort-Thanks Tracey for showing it too me.
Joe says-
cheese from Joe
Whatever that means. He is waiting impatiently over my shoulder so I will get off the PC and go and harass him whilst he is trying to do something he likes.
Have a great night everyone.

My Christmas Angel

I got home from work today totally exhausted and when I walked in the door Caitlin (who is on holidays) was doing all of my ironing. WOW. I cant tell you how excited this made me feel, this was better than any present anyone could have given me. I've never taught Caitlin how to iron so this was a first for her and I am a very lucky mum.
I just wanted to share with you my special Christmas angel brooch that my friend Karen made for me when we were in Port Hedland, isn't she gorgeous? Any Christmas party I go to she is worn proudly and I must say that I have made a few myself so if anyone wants the pattern let me know. I just had to show you my present for Joe's PCG (form) teacher. I made some more of Tracey's wonderful Christmas houses and I am going to put them in this pretty box with a box of choccies-hope she likes them-she is a special teacher.
Well that's it for now short and sweet I am of to cook dinner, have a good night.

Not Quite Finished????

Well hi everyone, what an eventful week I have had what with my work place (John Forrest High School) being on the news (it even made the morning show) honestly it's not that bad and I can honestly say that there has not been a fight at school for ages. I hope that you all are enjoying the week so far-yippee it's Friday tomorrow and my kids are going to clean the house from top to bottom whilst I am at work so that I can go Christmas shopping on Saturday. All I have to do now is teach them how to iron and I will be set. Here is a LO that I really enjoyed doing and I think it came out with a bit of a funky finish. I am thinking that I should do some nice big cross stitches in pink here and there what do you think.? This is just one of those LO's that I can add and add to. Again I am using Basic Grey (maybe I should apply for a job there as I always seem to gravitate towards their papers) and of course more of my Craft Queen ribbons.
Well I will leave you with this reminder that it is CHRISTMAS 4 weeks today.......
Remember to try and laugh once a day it makes you feel great.

I'm a bad girl

Yep I sure am. I ordered two new cartridges for my cricut the other day that were meant to be Christmas pressies from everyone to me. I picked them up from TM's on Friday and do you think that I could just wrap them up and put them away. NO WAY. So of course I had to use them and see what they were like. This LO has used some features from the Going Places which is my new favourite at the moment. It's fantastic. I also got Indie Art which will be fabulous for any boy LO's.Now I will just have to buy myself something else for Christmas he he. My dad looks so different now as he did in this photo. He has lost so much weight and has aged quite a lot but we had good news from the Oncologist on Thursday. He doesn't want to see dad for another 4 months which is great cause that means he will be with us for Christmas and hopefully Easter. Yes, each day is precious make sure you make the most of each one.
Just got in from another driving lesson with Caitlin-she did very well. When we got home she stayed in the car to change the time on the clock, she had been gone for a while so I went to see what she was doing. Well instead of reading the headings she saw a picture of a clock in the manual and thought this must be the change the time page and proceeded to do as they instructed. What she had actually done was set the security feature for the car stereo and now nothing works-the radio (oh no) or the clock-now we have to take it to a Toyota dealer to get it reset. Needless to say she is in her room crying and I am pdd off as I will have to be the one to take the car to the dealers. So its a happy time here. Oh well you get that.
Hope you are all having a lovely Sunday and hope that you all have a great week
Take care
Linda :)

ABBA

Only last month I was saying to the girls at work that I wished Sony would bring out an ABBA singstar game...Well hello....... guess what was released today. So after I picked Caitlin up from her exam we rushed down to our Kmart store and got a copy (Morley had already sold out). And guess what I have been doing all afternoon. I cant believe that Caitlin beat me on every song-not fair-these are songs from my childhood. Andrew could here us outside when he pulled up from work so I can just imagine what anyone walking by thought.. Joe shut himself in his room with his headphones on. We had a ball anyway.
I am going to do a bit of scrapping now so have a good night everyone.

4 weeks and 3 days

No I am not going to do a day by day countdown but I was stuck for a title. Here is another LO I whipped up using my BG Granola range. My BF and I had our children around the same time and they have grown up together. When I was flicking through my photos I came upon these ones of the children when they were little. Time goes by so fast it's gone before you realise it. Andrew and I are approaching our 20th wedding anniversary next month, my mum couldn't believe it when I told her. It seems like only yesterday so I can imagine how old my mum feels when I tell her things like that.
Have a nice night everyone and thanks again for taking the time to read my ramblings.

4 weeks and 4 days

Yep, that's right 4 weeks and 4 days of school left and I am not counting. Caitlin technically finished school on Friday she just has 4 exams to do now spread out over 10 days.OMG then she is in year 12. Well we went driving today and Andrew came with us, we actually ventured out onto Marshall road and had to go up to 80km's I was hanging on tight. Then Tracey we were up in your neighbourhood we made it up to Glenview shops. Boy was I glad to get home. Caitlin says that she is never having driving lessons with her dad.(I did warn her) I think that I will just brave the roads around here with her until she has proper driving instructions. Now to my LO of which Andrew does not want me to post. This LO is copied from this months sketch from Basic Grey and of course done with the Granola papers. As I say quite often I love BG. And of course I had to use more Craft Queen ribbon and one of my new stamps.
I am very lucky to have this man, as well as doing the gardens he helps with all the cleaning and does the vacuuming the only things he doesn't do is iron and cook. There is a negative to this; that when you live with a neat freak you feel that you have to tidy up all of the time.
It's a beautiful day here and we are going to have a BBQ tonight so I had better go and make some salad.
Hope you all have a good week and thanks for stopping by

Rembrance Day

I have had this photo sitting on my desk since Caitlin and Joe got back from Canberra just waiting for Poppy day. I have used MM everything apart from my fav,Craft Queen ribbon. I love this photo that Caitlin took it really makes me stop and think of all the soldiers that fought for us. Andrew (my DH) told me that the Australian War Museum is one of the most visited tourist places in the world, Caitlin and Joe thought it was great so if you are ever in that part of the world pay it a visit. I am very happy with the way this LO turned out. Now more important matters.......Does anyone suffer from or more importantly know of a cure for night leg cramps. I have had these for years (yes even when I was that fit State swimmer and a hell of a lot skinnier) but the cramp I got last night 3 times (12.30am,2.10am and 5.00am)in different places was just as excruciating as any of my two labours and poor Andrew didn't know what to do-not that he could do anything. The pain hasn't left my leg today and I really don't want to go to bed tonight as I don't think that I can cope with another one let alone 3.

Now on to yummier topics, I made the fudge on the w/e the one I told you about from Northpole.com and boy was it easy and boy was it yum. I can only eat a tiny piece as I am a savoury person but the ladies at work have scoffed it down. So go and have a look. Tracey it was easy only 4 ingredients (he he if I had better be nice or you wont let me sit with you at the scrap session.)
Until next time and here's hoping I get a good nights sleep
Linda

I'mmmmm Baaaack

Wow if you ever need help with your computer go to Net Solutions on Russell Road Morley. They fixed my computer whilst I waited it took 10 minutes the part was $79.00 and labour was $10.00. You cant beat that.
Now here was my dilemma that Tracey knows all about. I have been dreaming of the making memories slice machine (I know most people dream about holidays and their husbands, But I am a bit strange-you already know that)you also know that I have to have everything that is out and current so here I am going into the MM site daily and reading up and watching the demos etc, then I thought what about my cricut as I already have 6 cartridges and alas I have decided to spend the $300.00 on more cartridges and tools for my cricut. So those of you who are getting a slice (I'm jealous) but happy with my decision. Now I have been reading up on the cricut and do you know that it can make acrylic stamps Ha Ha Ha I will be in my element, whenever the technology gets to Aus that is.
Well I have to go and pick up the kids but I have a LO to post this evening so I will be back blogging in a couple of hours.

Crash and Burn

Well hi there everyone my computer died last night and my son Joe has grudgingly let me use his laptop. I didn't think that I could post anything on someone else's PC but it has let me so there you go. Now posting a LO will be difficult as the printer/scanner is attached to my PC so don't expect any posts until my computer is fixed.
Luckily I backed up my 1400 photos onto disc yesterday (maybe that is what made it crash). I love that part of Adobe photoshop-when you download a certain no of photos it tells you to do a back up and then does it all for you.
So if my PC has died at least I still have all my photos.
Well that's all for now as Joe is having withdrawal symptoms from a lack of Runescape time on his laptop.

In the pink

Yippee it's the weekend! I love the weekends. I am writing this in pink b/c my last two LO's have been pink based. I am not really a pink person but you get that. Again I must apologise for the photo-maybe I should go on a photography course. I am just too eager to take the photo and put it on my blog, anyway just ignore the flash bit. I picked up my November Craft Queen ribbon club from TM's on Tuesday and as soon as I saw it I just new that I had to use this Heidi Swapp paper that was in my stash so then I had to find photos. I can always rely on Caitlin to have pics that I haven't seen as all the girls take their cameras everywhere.
Speaking of Caitlin, year 12 next year and we had to book and pay for the Limo for the school ball which is in March and today she came home from school and said that she had seen a few dresses on the web that she liked. OMG. My friends told me that if it comes in under $1000.00 you are lucky. I don't think we will be that lucky.
That's my lot for today so have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by.

A little bit of BLING

Hello everyone I hope that you all had a lovely Melbourne Cup day and that you won some money in the sweeps. I won a whole $5.00.
Sorry about the quality of the LO today it's a bit blurry. I used the last of my BG Eva range, I only have scraps left now.I also used some Bella flowers that I was lucky enough to score from Vicki yesterday when I was in the shop spending all of my voucher. Thanks Vicki. I also used Making Memories glitter jigsaws just to add that bit of sparkle. And yes some hand stitching.
I don't know what hat Isabelle is wearing I think that it came from Joe's show bag, anyway it looks cute on her. Isabelle is our next door neighbour and Caitlin babysits her and her big sister Maddy. They just love Caitlin.
Our house is quiet again as Joe is away on yet another camp, boy has he had a good year.
Susan from (stitchscrapsew.blogspot.com) recommended a blog to her fellow readers to take a peak at and it's called cuttlebugchallenge.blogspot.com (take a look if you get a chance I thought it was great).
Thanks for stopping by

Flat Out

Well hello as per usual it has been a busy time and my blogging has been neglected although I have been reading everyone else's. Here is my double LO of Joe's trekking expedition and again they are in the wrong order. This is the second page. The first for me on this page is inking with bubble wrap I have never done that before. And here is the first page, I used Basic Grey Granola range. I have to say that BG is in my top 3 at the moment, just loving all their new papers. The first for me on this page is the ribbon tie-ing thing. I thought this was where you are meant to use your scraps.HUH it took so much ribbon that I had to go into my preshus Craft Queen stock. I like to keep them and look at them (a bit like the 300 or so fat quarters I have stashed away b/c they are too nice to use-but now they are kinda out of date).
Has everyone started christmas shopping yet or are you a late one like me. I have to do mine fairly late b/c if I buy my presents too early I cant hold on to them and I have to give them to that person straight away so then I have to go out and get them another prezzy so I haven't started yet.
A friend just gave me a voucher to TM's so guess what girls expect to c me soon b/c its burning a hole in my wallet.
Take care and have a good week.

Trekking

Hello again everyone, I hope that you all are having a great weekend.

My photos are all over the place today sorry about that. Joe arrived home from his Trekking yesterday afternoon 2 hours late and very tired. Here is a photo of one of their camp sites. He had a ball and already they are planning next years which is going to Broome and will take 2 weeks. Two weeks of school! Joe will be in that in a flash. I have got 2 LO's for you today and both of them I have copied from other people, this one came from the recent issue of SC and was a LO by Julie Heard I just love the way it has turned out. I even digitally altered my photos and used some old papers that I thought I would never use. Caitlin hates the photo of her and says "why did you have to use that one!?"

Back to Joe's Trek again and here we are in Bunbury with Joe's dream car, this one apparently cost $148,000 as everything is custom made. Imagine the fuel bill for this car. He got to sit in it so he was very happy.

Last but not least is a christmas LO which I had to copy from Susan (stitch scrap sew) hers was so good, and mine has turned out completely different as I didn't have any christmas ribbon in the right colours so I used buttons and mine ended up in a different place. I am still very happy with the final result.

Well it's the end of another week I hope that all is well in your world, stay safe and have a great week.

See I really did have blonde hair!

Here is my latest LO which has taken me a while b/c there is something about it which I don't like or maybe it needs a little blue in it . I do love the transparency that I made though. It's funny, I got this stamp in a pack and thought that I would never use it but it makes a beautiful border. The photo is of my Taid (grandad in Welsh) who had come for a visit-from England, my brother and I are sitting on his knee, see how blonde my hair is and my mum is standing next to us. Years ago when I visited my Taid in England he looked exactly the same, still wearing a jacket with a knitted vest underneath, he never seemed to age although he was 90 when I visited.
Our house is very quiet at the moment as Joe is on the Appealathon trek having a ball by all accounts. It's Andrew's birthday on Saturday so we are all going to the Burswood buffet for dinner. YUM I hope Joe manages to stay awake as he gets back at 4pm on Saturday afternoon.
Have a good night everyone

Safe and Sound

Wow isn't it hot today, I had to weaken and put the a/c on usually I can wait until it gets really hot but it was really hot at work today and I haven't cooled down yet. Here is a snap I took of Caitlin yesterday, she is all grown up and nearly driving. Yesterday morning we went and collected Caitlin's car from her grandparents house (my mum and dads), then we spent half an hour at a car park in Mt Hawthorn with Caitlin driving round and round and me hanging on to the door. Caitlin did extremely well I am very proud of her. I had had enough by then so we came home. On the way home Caitlin said I love driving can I have another go, so when we got home with the neighbours looking on we braved the back streets around us. Before we even got out the drive way I said "now if we come across another car dont PANIC just make sure that you are on the correct side of the road.) As this was the first time on an actual road. Well we took off at great speed 40kms which I thought was miles to fast and the first 2 mins were very scary as Caitlin didn't think that she needed to break going round a corner, I settled down, although I do wish that Caitlin would drive with 2 hands on the wheel- that is very scary. All in all she did extremely well and so did I, no yelling (only once) or screaming. I dont know if I would call it fun but it whas time spent with my daughter which is always precious.
Hope you all have a good week.

Hand Painting

Hello everyone, it has been a couple of days since I last posted anything that's b/c I went back to work this week and am just a bit tired. It has taken me all week to do this LO which is very unusual for me. I was inspired by Nina Granzien (The Scrapbookers Nest) who is a design team member for Craft Queen. (thanks Nina) I love my CQ ribbons and sometimes don't want to use them b/c they are so nice. I still have this painting that Caitlin did in her scrapbook along with the 100 or so others.
Joe is off on the Appealathon Trek tonight and away for 8 nights so our house will be a bit quieter for a week or so.
And guess what? That means NO cricket on Sunday. A sleep in-BLISS. Then I am going to take Caitlin out for her first driving lesson. Wish me luck
Have a great w/e everyone.

My Friend

I was up last night going through all of my quilting stuff to find a ufo to take to cricket this morning, I needn't have worried there is plenty of unfinished things for me to choose from. Joe had his best game ever, at one stage he was on a hat trick but didn't quite get it. He finished the day with 4 for 5 (or for you people that don't follow cricket that is 4 wickets for 5 runs). So he was very pleased with himself. Here's my latest page of one of my girlfriends who is very near and dear to me. I could have moved the heart down a bit and I am not altogether happy with the flowers, I guess that it didn't turn out as I had pictured it in my mind-oh well you get that-
Am trying to psyche myself up for work tomorrow but aren't having much luck, I will have to start the countdown for the chrissy holidays (I sound just like one of my children).
Well I hope that all is well in your part of the world where ever you are. Have a good week.

Hello everyone, I hope you are enjoying this cloudy but otherwise beautiful Saturday. Just wanted to share with you this very basic LO I did last night. Gone is this little boy and before me is a -not quite man but definately not a boy either-.
Have a good night everyone,we are having a quiet one as cricket starts tomorrow and we have to be there by 7.40 OOOOhhhhh dont you just love it. LOL (NO) I love my sleep ins better.

How cute are these

A couple of days ago I was blog hopping-as you do- and went on to the Pink Paiselee blog it was World Card Making Day. You could get free instructions to make cards. This was one of them, it's a gift card holder but I am going to use the middle one for a money card, don't you think there just great. I will have to start making some for Christmas especially for those people whom you give gift vouchers to.
It's the last day of my holidays today All good things must come to an end.
Have a great weekend everyone.

RTA:ALERT ALERT

Just wanted to let you all know (or warn you) that Caitlin has passed her L's and she will be on the road any time soon. So next time you see me please have a Panadol ready and don't comment on those extra grey hairs that I'm sure will be evident in the next couple of months.
Hope that you are all enjoying the last couple of days of the holidays.

I Love School Holidays

Here we are all dressed up for a 21st birthday party that we went to the w/e before last. The colour theme was Pink and Yellow the only yellow thing Joe had to wear was an old sports shirt from school and yes I do have some pink on. I was in TM's and Tracey was working on a LO where she had cut out these flowers from the BG eva range so of course I was inspired to do the same. Thanks Tracey you teach me so much and give me ideas that I would never think to do.
My mini albums are both finished now-yooohoooo, one was fun but two was a challenge.
I'm sure I've mentioned before how much I love the school holidays, I read late into the night last night as I knew that I could sleep in this morning. What a luxury.
Thanks for taking the time to read my ramblings.
Hope that you have a nice night tonight. NCIS is on my ab fab show so I will.

Copy Cat

Here's a page that I did today with the new Basic Grey Ambrosia papers, no sewing on this I did however use lots of dimensional magic on the hearts and they are nice and shiny. I copied this idea from MM's blog using the negative space from the circles I cut from my cricut (oops it should be the new slice). The photo is from my mum and dads 55th wedding anniversary that was in 2006 so this year it will be their 57th. WOW. Andrew and I are nearly up to our 20th (we got married on the same day and year as Clori and her husband and we are both expecting eternity rings this December, Aren't we Clori?)
Then again I want a lot of things at the moment - beads for my Pandora and the new MM slice and all the accessories that go with it. I hope that Santa IS VERY RICH..
Well that's enough dreaming.
Remember to tell someone near and dear to you that you love them and if possible go and have a coffee with your mum and dad.

Yay I did it

Well finally I took up the courage to sew a LO on my new machine. I say new machine because Andrew bought it for me for christmas two or was it 3 years ago and in that time I discovered scrapping and haven't had my machine out, whenever I do get it out I have to reread the instructions. I admired a LO like this in a magazine about a year ago and never forgot it, so this is my version and I have even gone and used photoshop to enhance the photo and to make my own printed journal tag and yes the chipboard was from the monthly challenge at TM's which I failed cause I got stuck with the bird. Never mind I quite like how this turned out and it is using one of my all time favourite photos.
Don't you just love the holidays-sleep ins, outings, rest, I DO, although I haven't had a sleep in yet. Definately tomorrow.
Have a fun week everyone.

This photo will put a smile on your face

Hi everyone hope that you are all having a great week. I just had to show you all this photo that was taken at school last term. I had told my kids that we all wore purple bras for Pina to raise money for breast cancer (a cause very important to her) they had know idea that i had worn mine on my head. Well I'm a big lady and they only came in one size so where else was I going to wear it? Caitlin & Joe were mortified when I showed them the photo and actually thanked god that they didn't go to school at John Forrest. Little do they know that this photo is in the school newsletter and about to be sent out to all the school community.
I had kept this MM Noteworthy paper for a special reason and just knew that when I saw this photo what papers I would use. The bottom butterfly is actually purple even though it looks pink.
This LO is not going in my album we are going to hang it up in the canteen.
PS..We did raise a bit of money and the kids all thought I was mad who cares it did the trick.

Monday Bloody Monday

I had to have a break from mini albums on the w/e so I did this page instead which I am really pleased with. Sorry got my photos in the wrong order. I just love this paper-my colours to a T.
I used dimensional magic straight on the paper and and Susan you should be impressed i put some beads on it as well.
Overall I love the whole thing as I'm sure my dad will.
Now let me tell you a story about my day today and the odd title I have used. There I was merrily separating hash browns for all the lovely children at school when I stabbed myself with a pair of scissors. Well I have to do a job well, so the scissors went right through my finger to the other side. Not realising this I pulled out the offending blade ..well you should have seen the blood spatter ( i could have been on CSI) all over my shirt all over a tray of hash browns and in one of my bowls of pikelet mix, not to mention all over this stupid glorious hat we have to wear. Suffice to say all went in the bin. And can you believe it because the cut was small but deep all I had to show for my wounds was a bloody T shirt and a band aid...
Have a good week everyone.

One down One to go

YOOO HOOOO Caitlin's album is finally finished and already taken to school to show everyone.
I had a couple of days off scrapbooking as you all know I was sick and for the first time that I can remember since I started scrapping I didn't feel like scrapping and to be honest the thought of having to do another mini album about the same holiday wasn't that exciting. Poor Joe it's not his fault that I did Caitlin's first so with that in mind and some great papers from MM I started Joe's, and to be fair some of his photos are completely different than Caitlin's. Joe can't seem to understand why Caitlin didn't take a photo of this really "cool" speed boat that all the boys saw when they were on the ferry to Manly or why Caitlin didn't take a photo of the sign that looked like a cow was doing a poo, or why Caitlin didn't take a photo of the only RED exit sign in Aus (apparently they are all green-this was a fact that he learnt at parliament house-I will have to take more notice). So you see I have plenty of new material to work with.
Yes I know!!!! I still haven't taken of my date stamp on my camera. (have done it now)
Must apologise for the bad light in these photo's my shadow kept getting in the way. Hope you can see the pages clearly enough. I am using the Halloween papers from Making Memories and when I was in T M's the other day I found this fantastic pack of Topsiders from Pink Paislee that matches my papers so of course I just had to buy it.
That's enough dribble for now, hope you all have a happy and safe weekend..

Easel

Hi everyone,
just wanted to share with you my finished easel and show you where I have put it in my house. Smack bang in the entry way so that everyone gets to see it when they walk in. I just love it and the fact that I can change layouts whenever I feel like it. I have done a lot more on Caitlin's album this week, it's nearly finished. Unfortunately we all have the flu me included (yes Clori I can feel your sympathy pouring in) so it's been early nights for me and will be again tonight.
Hope everyone is well and that you all have a great weekend.

Was that the weekend?

Wow this weekend has gone so very quickly, we had a very nice lunch at the Ironbark Brewery for father's day. I recommend the platter it was delish. My dad is away in Dunsborough for the week with my brother so Andrew was the only dad present at our lunch. I just had to show you the mini album now that it is Zuttered (binded) thanks Tracey I never could have done it on my own. I LOVE IT
Don't expect too many posts this week unless you want to see more of the kids school trip (I'm a bit over it at the moment. Poor Joe I haven't even started his yet).
This weekend i have spent painting and inking my easel from Twiddleybitz, boy they are great. Now it is sitting near our entry way greeting everyone who visits. I just love the fact that I can put any layout on it for everyone too see. Can't wait for our anniversary b/c I have done a page of our wedding. (see if Andrew notices). Can't wait for Xmas as i can make a "have a happy Christmas" layout on it and use it as a decoration...OOOOhh my brain is on speed alert thinking of all the things I can put on it.
And yes Susan I actually got out my sewing machine this w/e, alas, not for quilting but for mending.ho hum....
To my friend Jenni now that your Internet is up and running and hopefully you are reading my humble blog I have to talk you into getting a blog so that You can show all my craft ladies the amazing costumes that you make....
That's it for now everyone
Have a great week AHEAD AND ONLY THREE WEEKS UNTIL THE SCHOOL HOLIDAYS yippee (this from a mother of teenage children who can look after themselves. And let me rest and scrapbook.)

More of Caitlin's album

Hello everyone. First of all I must apologise for the poor quality of these photo's,the light was very poor and I couldn't be bothered to photo them again (lazy I know) but you can get the gist of them anyway. A big thank you to Susan who has helped me to put the photos in amongst my writing.

Another thanks to Sonia and Tracey who obviously bribed the judges (on my behalf) for this months challenge, I will pay you when I see you. (ha ha).

I had to put this Krispy Kreme page in as everyone is talking about how yummy these donuts are and we had never had one so the kids bought us box 2 big boxes. YUM.

Anyway I have done a load more pages than these but I don't want to bore you with them all so I will just put a few pages in. Must admit that I might have to do a card or a 12 by 12 or something different considering once I have done this one I have to work on Joe's.

That's about it for now.

Take care everyone.

Joe's Album

Here is the front and second last page of Joe's album. I couldn't find and album that I liked in the right colour so i had to make one myself. I got these Zutter covers from TM's and this fabulous new Making memories paper, so now I will have to go back to the shop to bind it with the Zutter and then I can start. Hope you like it, it's fairly simple but Joe likes it and that's the main thing.

Hello everyone, I am busy doing pages for Caitlin's journal and am in the process of making Joe a little album. The glue is still wet so you will have to wait until tomorrow when I can take some photos and hopefully I will have time to post them on the blog. I am using the making memories spellbound range for Joe's album even though it wasn't a Halloween trip they still look good and boyee.
Have a good week everyone.

A Busy Week

Hello everyone I have been busy doing Caitlin's journal so I haven't posted anything this week. I have really enjoyed doing this as each page is quick and easy to do it's been great fun. I have done 12 pages already and I am only on their first day. I hope it's still as much fun when I finally get to Joe's album. So now I am going to bore you with the whole 12 pages. Still cant get them on the bottom of this page so you have probably already looked at them. I have to say again how much I love the BG Euphoria papers, oh, and my new owl clear stamps aren't they cute.

Ok it is taking me toooo long to put all 12 pages on here so here is a couple.

Hope to see ya all tomorrow at TM's 12 hour scrap session.
