It turned out exactly like i had imagined. Don't you just love it when that happens.
This was so easy, there is one little error but unless you are a log cabin perfectionist you wont know what it is and i am not telling. Love this sashiko, i may just be a convert but how many things can i make along the same lines? Cushions come to mind but we don't really use cushions here, a craft bag but hey i have a few of those, some place mats sounds good but i got some beautiful black leather ones for Christmas. MMM will have to think some more.
Anyway i love it, now i just have to quilt it and bind it. Yes it will be hand quilted as that is my favourite thing to do (much like sashiko really).
Have a great day.

I can't believe how quickly this project seemed to come together...well done! Looks great with the log cabin border, and the colours are SO you!
Next project?
Oh Linda its stunning!!!
I got our delivery today but I have two sick kiddos so I not sure when I will get to the PO with them I really love one of your sets in particular.
Wow, Linda your quilt looks fantastic. You could give me inspiration to finish one I started 2 years ago.
Looks amazing Linda!! The stitching is really therapeutic, isn't it? Love how it works so well with the log cabin block.
Oh my gosh! That was so much painstaking work! My stepmother is a quilter, and I KNOW how long it takes to make such a masterpiece! You are very talented. Are you going to hang it on a wall? Or lay it over a bed or sofa?
This is just beautiful Linda. I too love the look of Shashiko. Can't wait to see in real life.
love me :-)
Beautiful job Linda! Your sashiko stitches are so wonderfully even! Looks great with the red fabrics.
Wow, it's gorgeous! I am in awe of your love of hand quilting.
