Now I always thought that i couldn't crochet and someone taught me way back when i was about 6 to make squares, it's funny how you don't forget. I didn't know what the stitches were called or anything. I have been using these cute little crocheted flowers on my LO's lately and thought surely they couldn't be hard to make, so after a search on google i came across this
and after watching it a few times i made these. With my liking for natural things i just had to go and make one out of jute and i am really happy with the way they turned out. They aren't perfect but not to bad if i do say so myself.
I am still waiting for my two books to arrive and again Mel Goodsell did a post on these a couple of weeks ago, I tell you every time i log onto her blog it costs me :) and these books don't have anything at all whatsoever to do with scrapbooking.
Have a good week everyone, I, hopefully will be making loaf after loaf of yummy bread when my book comes. This will probably make my bread maker obsolete.

I LOVE those flowers! I couldn't crochet to save my life...can you teach me because I think they would be great as brooches.
I have memories of ginger beer making as a kid too!! It is something you don't hear much about these days. Love your corcheted flowers - especially the one in jute - that was most inspired and will look great on a LO. Looking forward to seeing your ARtisan Bread - that books has had some great reviews from a number of bloggers.
Oooh yes, I am a closet crocheter from way back too. Your flowers look great, especially the jute one.
I hope you are going to make me a loaf of bread when you get your book...I am looking forward to seeing how easy it is and how yummy it tastes :)
No ginger beer making experiences here, but very interested to see how it goes! You are one busy little cookie atm aren't you???
LOL, I'll try not to post anything that might cost you for the next few weeks :)))
I'm busting for my ginger beer plant to be ready too. Our ginger beer always used to explode when I was little too.
