It's that time again

Yes it is, time for the third instalment of my "Mystery Block of the Month".
This months block is called Weather Vane and it's designed by Barbara Groves and Mary Jacobson.

Ok it's not pressed properly but all points match perfecta moondo.

Now on to other things, whether your a scrapbooker or a Project Lifer I urge you to watch this Video. "make every day a scrapbook..."

I seem to have a bit of a girl crush on Shimelle lately and eagerly await all her blog posts and videos. I'm signed up to do this class but just watching the video makes me want to get out my PL or do a page, I hope you watch it and FYI Shimelle is an American lady married to an Englishman living in the UK.

That's it for tonight
Have a great weekend.

Happy Saturday

Well hello
Here I am hiding in the craft room whilst Andrew vacuums and washes the floors, how lucky am I.

Last night at 10pm I realised I needed a card for tomorrow nothing like last minute. I have had these banner thingy's on my desk for I can't remember how long so I decided to put them on a card. This is for a twenty year old male,

what do you reckon, is it suitable?

I also whipped up another card along the ones from my last post with scraps on my desk from my PL

These use the new My Minds Eye papers and again you can find details of the card from Here.

Out for a pub meal tonight and catching up with my bestie whom I don't see often enough.

Have a great weekend everyone.

A quick and easy card

Hi there
just popping in to share with you a card i made, this card was so easy i made four whilst watching an episode of Downtown Abbey.
The design is not mine it comes from Michelle Wooderson who has designed this card for a kit, as long as we link back to her any one can make the cards using their own stash.

I have used papers from my current Student calico kit, love how it/they turned out.

i was meant to be finishing of my PL for this week instead i find myself reading blogs and for those of you who commented on my should i or shan't i post i DID couldn't help myself, this is me you know, some would say more money than sense so I'm just waiting on Postman Pat. ooo i hope he's gentle.

Mini album

Hi there

i hope you are having a lovely Saturday, we are, after cleaning the whole house from top to bottom and doing the fortnightly food shop we hit the Swan Valley in search of some lunch and WOW what a lunch. I had heard about this restaurant its called Little River Winery, its French, has a very limited menu and only open for lunch. MMMMMmmmmm we are going to make our way thru the whole menu i think, today we started with the platter (cold cuts etc) to share and then i had the most amazing duck liver pate i have ever had in my life, far far better than the pate that Joe and I made recently and i even bought some with fresh French baguettes to bring home so thats what I'm having for dinner tonight.

Any way that has nothing to do with my post today although i will post some pictures later. For today i wanted to share a mini album i made for an 18th we went to last weekend. For an extra little present i purchased two roles of film for my Instax camera and gave them to the birthday girl along with my instax camera to use, and of course the mini album so she could pop the photos straight in. (let me say here that this was a little extra present added to a bigger present that we gave her) Anyway according to her mum the mini album and little photos were loved the best of all her presents.

sorry these are all bad photos taken very quickly before we left for the party as one namely me was finishing this at 2am the morning before. Nothing like being prepared.

here's an inside page with a pocket to put the little photo in
and another.
and here it is in its cute little wrapping
I quickly  slowly put together a card that i cased from Tracey a while ago so i thought i would make another one
All papers are October Afternoon/Cakewalks line.

argh usually i do my posts on my iPad  using Blogpress and its so quick today however i am using Blogger (on the iMac that Joe bought for me :)  :)  :) but that's another story) and i am finding it- (Blogger) so much ummm not as good as Blogpress.

well that's about it for me today, enjoy the rest of your weekend
thanks for stopping by
Linda

Love this memory

Over the last couple of months I have been doing an online class from Two Peas in a Bucket by Shimelle and I must say that this is the best online class I have ever done. Anyone that knows me knows that I tend to buy just a way bit to much and should in all honesty be banned from online craft shopping. So the end result is "I have a lot of product" alas some of it sits there not because I don't like it but because I find it hard to use.
Anyway to cut a long storey short in Shimelles class I have learnt to use a bit more of all this stuff goodness I tend to hoard.
I rather liked this iPhone photo of Caitlin and Joe ( even though Joe is kinda blurry) so I decided to enlarge it and do a 12x12 page.
For the title I used one of the stamps from Technique Tuesday/Ali Edwards set that I get monthly.

See I've managed to use my Studio Calico sprays, washi tape, an 8x8 paper pack, some wood shapes, lovely cabochon flowers and not forgetting one of Leena's flair buttons and a wee bit more.
I really enjoyed doing this layout and playing with my vast stash.
And if you want to see Shimelle in action go and sign up for the newsletter at TwoPeas, Shimelle does a video every week under the guise of Glitter Girl.

Now talking about spending, I already have a cricut (well 2 actually) and to be honest lately it/they haven't seen much action but I'm thinking I would like a Silhouette Cameo, what do you reckon, should I get one? For once I'm actually in two minds.

A little crafting

Hello again
Yes it's been a while, sorry no excuses just lazy.
My mystery block of the month arrived last week so here is the block for July

I must say this would not be the colour palette I would choose but I am really liking these fabrics. I guess that's what's good about these blocks I get to make something a little different in colour to my usual style, and here's a close up coz I likey taking close ups.

I am just putting the finishing touches to week 30 of Project Life and it occurred to me that I haven't shown you any pages lately, so here is half (only half as I'm still working on the RHS) of my PL.

I am using papers from my Studio Calico July kit.
I just HAD to include a photo that I took of my computer showing Tracey and me on Nichole Heady's (Papertrey Ink) blog. Talk about excited.
Caitlin and Andrew went to the Footy, they do this once a year kind of a father and daughter thing which is great.
I had fun changing my old typewriter ribbon, it was easy to do but finding a ribbon I could wind onto the spool was a task in itself.
I have nearly finished the other side which makes me up to date until tomorrow any way.

This week I was kept busy with this young man (and I can say man now as he is 18)

Yes Tuesday was spent at the doctors, then X-ray place, then back to the doctors then onto emergency at the hospital. Wednesday was spent at the surgeons waiting to see if thy would operate on Joes finger that is fractured in three places. And how did he do it you may ask....well he fell over a glass that someone had dropped onto the dance floor and landed on his hand. He has now sworn that he is never going to a nightclub again. Thank god,his mama says less for me to worry about.

So that's my lot for the last week, what have you been doing?
