A weeks worth

OK i am trying to work out how this new blogging format works so if everything is all over the place i am sorry.
Here is my third scarf all ready to be given to my friends daughter. So far i have made four all for gifts and am a bit scarfed out now.

So far so good although my text is now in the middle.

Isn't this crocheted butterfly just gorgeous. Here is the link where you can find the video it really is quite easy. I have made about 10 so far, some with magnets and some with clasps to go on coats.

Joe did some baking on the weekend and there are my fingers all ready to grab one. They were delicious  but not very diet friendly.

Here is a quick card i made this afternoon for one of our volunteers.

And last but not least is Caitlin's 18th album. Well the front anyway i will post the rest later in the week. I was given this album as a birthday present from the lovely Tereesa all i had to do was cover/decorate it and add the photos. The journalling still needs to be done and Caitlin will need to do that as i don't know the name of all of her Uni friends yet.

 

OK now my text is to the side mmm very strange. Linking is much easier but i have found putting the photos in harder.

Stuff

Hi all, how are you. Today's post is a bit random so please bear/bare with me.

Now they say "that it's all in the packaging" so-
Aren't these tags just gorgeous. I have used a new stamp set and matching die from Papertrey Ink. (sorry bad photo). Paper is Basics from Basic Grey. I love this so much i think i will spend this arvo making a whole ton of them. There is a lot of words in the stamp set ie- hand sewn, preserves,veges, handmade etc. Cant wait to wrap gifts with these tags. Now the hand knitted tag i am going to attach to this bag (don't know if i like it or not) but i made it for one of the ladies i work with. At lunch times "I" (ha ha ha me who learnt to crochet of You Tube)have been teaching Michelle how to crochet, so i made her this cute little bag to put her crochet in. The yarn may look cute but i am NEVER knitting in this again. The handles i took from an old handbag that i have never used. (how's that for recycling)

Finally i have felt inspired to do a LO and a double one at that. Again all of the papers and embellishments have come from my monthly kit club that i get from Cocoa Daisy.

Last Friday was the end of our school term and Joe had his Year 11 Dinner/Dance so I scrapped that.

I don't know why they posted like this when they were the right way up in my photo folder. I have tried to delete them from this post and that didn't work so..tilt away.

Here are two cards i made using Stampin Up everything.

A friend of a friend gave me a yummy mix of coffee beans to use in my cappuccino machine so i thought it only fitting that i make her a card with some kind of cup on it to say thanks. This stamp set is very versatile, it comes with a blob of icing, a handle, a mug/cupcake so you can decide on what to make.

How i wish this posted the right way as in real life it really is a beautiful card. Joe was "asked" to ask his mum (me) if i could make a thank you card on behalf of all of the year 11's for the lady who organised the dinner/dance. Oh the pressure, it's OK when you are making for yourself to give out but when this was on behalf of about 200 students..well...i went straight to the SU book and looked for ideas so this was inspired by a card i saw there. It really does look much better the right way round :)

A Woolly Latte Anyone?

A little bit of knitting has been done this week and no paper crafts at all. Here is my Woolly Latte, it looks cute but I must say that when i sat down last night and had my much anticipated Latte (remember i am only allowed one a day) i was a little disappointed as it felt like i had a mouth full of fur every time i took a sip. Now this didn't put me off as i had some left over yarn and made another one. I think they would be really cute for gifts with the mug and maybe some choccies inside. My scarf is all finished and i really love it. Love this yarn and the colours. Did i tell you that i am not a scarf person, well i am now.

You know that i spend all of my Sunday mornings ironing, well it wont take as long now. I was very lucky during the week to be given this Steam Maid iron, yes it looks like it came from the 1930's but i tell you what its amazing.

Now when you have super huge feet it is very hard to get any shoes at all and with the winter months coming i must confess to wearing slippers. "If your feet are warm then the rest of you is warm" so my swimming coach used to say. Anyway how could i walk past these cuties at my local supermarket last night. Way to cute (I call them my Susan slipper socks-as Susan loves dots).

I have a busy weekend planned, what have you all got happening.

Where to begin

Yesterday i had such fun.
Susan, Tracey and I went on an excursion, a craft excursion and wow was it fun, we got lost, laughed lots, spent lots (well 2 of us did, one was very good), drooled/dreamt/wished lots.
My photos aren't in order sorry.
Our second stop was in Wembly at Woolly Lattes where we had lunch and amazing coffee, yes I just had to buy some. You should have seen Tracey's face when her latte was presented with a little fluffy warmer wrapped around it (Susan and Tracey both took photos- I forgot my camera-what kind of scrapbooker am i?) Of course we couldn't leave this shop without buying the kit to make these latte warmers. They come with wool, coffee mug and the most adorable polka dot needles. Our first stop was Calico & Ivy in Mosman Park. The purpose of our visit was to buy some fabric for a project that we are going to make together and as you can see by the next photo i got a bit sidetracked. Just look at this yarn, isn't it divine, it's kind of like ribbon oh so yummy, of course i just had to buy some. Luckily the lady at the shop said that you need to roll it into a ball before you use it. Well as soon as i got home that is what i was doing and it took me four hours (I nearly gave up, I nearly got the scissors out and cut out the knots but i didn't). Then after dinner i started knitting my scarf, almost done, will show you later.

Now here is my fabric and underneath that Africany looking piece is a sold dark brown-sorry you cant actually see it. Now the trim and the felt don't actually belong to the project but they were calling out to me and i had to buy them. The three of us have such different tastes in colours it's amazing, which is a good thing. I am so predictible, look at the trim and felt they nearly match the colours of my fabric but that's me, i love earthy colours.

On Friday i received a little/big Stampin Up order and have made some STUFF that i will show you tomorrow along with my Anzac Day photos where Joe marched once again but this time with my dads medals. It was a moving day.

Off now to do some knitting or play with my SU.
